I think that I haven’t changed too much as a peer reviewer. From the beginning of the semester, I had been making comments on organization of sentences, organization of thoughts, and on proper use of information. I had been making insightful comments in my peer groups’ papers that helped them improve on their essays, instead of just focusing wholly on grammar and sentence structure, or just making a vague comment on how something needs to be fixed. I used my comments productively with ideas for a change, being specific on what I thought was wrong and could use work. I did also comment on things that I thought worked well, and how to apply that idea to something else in the paper. This helps with general continuity and consistency of flow through the paper.
Looking back on the early peer reviews, I see that though my methods of editing, I did switch the main topic of comments from organization and grammar to ideas and interpretation of the text. Though the main topic of my comments have changed, the helpfulness and advise that I give through them were just as useful at the beginning of the semester as they were the last paper I edited.
